Laboratory For Cell & Gene Medicine: Expansion Project
The project scope involved the construction of two new cGMP cell production labs and a freezer room to ISO 7 standards, as well as a new dry storage area for their materials and gasses. A new structural mezzanine was constructed above the labs to support a new validated air handler inside of the building which services the new lab areas. Due to the complex design on the new mezzanine and mechanical systems, MAI utilized BIM modeling to ensure the design would be properly accomplished and coordinated within the tight space.
