General Vascular Surgery Medical Group

Angio/Vascular Procedure Suite/San Ramon Vein Suite

Project Categories: Life Science
MAI Construction was retained by General Vascular Surgery Medical Group to provide general contractor services on an angio/vascular procedure suite as well as a vein suite project. The angio/vascular procedure suite was the complete construction of a new suite built out to be converted to a full OSHPD 3 general surgical center, if the group decides to perform those procedures in the future. It was particularly challenging due to the new suite being located on the second floor of a three-story fully operating medical office building. Without affecting the operations of the other medical practices located in the 1st and 3rd floors, the suite required a custom HVAC/HEPA split system to be installed in extremely limited interstitial space. For the San Ramon medical office vein suite, two existing suites were first demolished down to shell conditions. The medical office was located on the first floor of an occupied medical building. The new construction included one procedure room, two exam rooms, doctors offices, a restroom, a break room, and a reception area.
