Continuing the Season of Giving

As we continue the Season of Giving, MAI would like to take this opportunity to give back by to our community by hosting a Book Drive for the Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford Library.

These books are for children to use during their stay, helping them and their families find comfort in the joy of enjoying these books together. Reading helps physical and mental health, exercises the brain, reduces stress, improves sleep, and is a wonderful form of entertainment.

With every book that you bring in, MAI will contribute a book; thus, doubling the books that we donate to their library. Currently the children’s hospital is at capacity, 350 beds. Think of the difference we can make for these young patients. Attached below is the link for the Library Family Resource Center. Click on the link to view the children’s wish list of books. Or look below.

Between Monday, November 28th and December 9th, we will have a box at the front entrance for you to place your books.

Here are guidelines provided by the Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital for your donation:

  • New Books Only (due to COVID)

  • Books can be for ages ranging from infant to 17 years old

  • No religious books

  • Coloring Books or Art Books are ok

  • Please do not giftwrap (due to COVID)
